THOUGHTS ON LINEAGE AND HERITAGE
Lineage is important but don’t ever let anyone tell you that the mysteries can only be passed to you through another in this path. Of course tradition specific practice and belief are passed this way, but the mysteries are there for each individual to discover for themselves. This is not to say it’s not encouraged to have a guide or a partner or a mentor in the journey. But like the work of any mystical system of discovery, never come to the conclusion that mentorship is the only way and you must comply. To fall into another’s beliefs instead of dragging your own to the surface is to accept the paradigm put forth by them without question while relinquishing your own.
Heritage is also an important aspect of lineage. When we master difficult challenges set before us by a group of individuals we admire or want to be a part of and that have come before us, there is a pride in achieving the right to be called by a similar title. This requires formal instruction in this group’s philosophy by those that came before us and have already achieved what we desire to achieve. This means a formal mentorship in some form in order to impart that instruction and the culmination of this will be a final test to ensure the heritage of the group is capable of being held up by the initiate before acceptance into the order is granted and the title bestowed.
By these decrees:
My lineage and heritage in the Force Paths
JEDI
The Master Jedi John of TotJO gave rise to the Jedi Knight Alan
The Jedi Knight Alan of TotJO gave rise to myself, The Je’daii Ranger Kyrin Wyldstar
SITH
The Sith Lord Miles of OotS gave rise to the Sith Lord Luciana
The Sith lord Luciana of OotS gave rise to myself, the Sith Lord Vixens Vengeance
