The main tenets
Nullius En Verba - Nothing in one's word : see for yourself.
The only thing one can really trust is one's senses, but, truly, not even this is enough. One must confirm what one senses with other's record, or worse memory, of their senses. Record, then, must be standardized as much as possible while retaining flexibility enough to express any past, present, and future sense, experience, or memory. Through mindful experiences and experiments, one gets the truth. Journal.
Omnia Es Permissum - All Things Are Permitted : everything exists; therefore, it must be allowed.
On a long enough timeline, nothing is good or evil, but progressive and stagnant. Proper progress appears to tend toward natural law, ecological balance, and technological advancement, in that (or close to that) order. Research and development must take this to heart, to a point. Try things that scare people, because a lot of that fear is just of the unknown. If you don't know what's going to happen, then there is nothing you can predict about it. Some will say if you don't know, then you're going to explode, or be wrong, or go to Hell, or Hel. They can't say for certain, though, so their conclusions are false. One must never relinquish their self-permission to others based on baseless authority.
Conatum Infinitum - Drive for the Infinite : Maximum Effort.
The chief aim in all beings is to attain a higher self, to surpass the confines of one's surroundings, knowledge, capabilities, etc. The only way to truly know any limit is to approach it. One must find something that inspires passion and ambition, then achieve as much in whatever inspires you as possible. Do as much as possible, make mistakes as many times as possible, and record all of it. Journal.
Potes Facere Meliores - You can do better : One can always improve in some way.
Complacency is the enemy of greatness. When one becomes complacent, one becomes duller, softer, weaker, etc. With great success should come more free time, if done correctly. One must never, then, take on more than one can manage, but never stop doing new/improving things. Perfection may never be achievable, but that doesn't mean one should not try.
Non dixit, Noli Docere - If not asked, Do Not Teach : Never interject one's beliefs where they were not invited.
"Keep thine religion to thine self." - Jedi Master George Carlin
One must never impose an opinion onto a person or into a situation that does not call for it. If a person is having a conversation about a relationship they have with another person, one must never interject, especially with a bias or prejudice. Reflect and ask yourself as to where this thought arises, and to what emotion this thought is attached. Hate is often a problem with the self rather than another.
Contradictio Est Necesse - Contradiction is Necessary/Conflict is Inevitable : Even in one's self, one will find contradiction and conflict.
Everything, even these tenets, in there explanations, will contain any number of level of contradictions, as will any system that attempts any description in absolutes or superalatives. One must sort through, test, and resort/retest these systems to discover the truth. One must try new systems, test their postulates, principles, values, detriments, demerits, historical successes and failures, and the negative of any proven hypothesis. New systems, maybe even including a successor to the Scientific Method itself, must be tested when no one has ever done so. And to do so, one may have to break taboos in society and in the self. Test waters that have been tested and untested alike. The truth resists simplicity.
The mirror tenets
Nullius En Verba - Don't Take One's Word For Something; See For Yourself.
The best way of testing knowledge is in reality, and the most convincing tests are the ones one performs oneself. However, one may not be capable, due to constraints to time, authority, resources or ability, to perform a given test on a specific subject under a certain study.
Therefore, one may have to rely on the record of others. One, then, would be responsible for backing up any given source with more reputable sources and recorded experiments. Investigate into the authors, collaborators, sponsors, and executers of the experiments. For your knowledge depends on their dependability.
Omnia Es Permissum - All Things Are Permitted : Everything Exists; Therefore, It Must Be Allowed.
Nazi scientists come to mind here. Yes, everything that exists is allowed. But that doesn't make it right. Yes, on a long enough timeline, there is no good or evil; there is only progress and stagnation. But, in the here and now, right and wrong can appear to be glaringly obvious. And it is tempting to act on what is right right now. And seems most of the time to be progressive in the long run too.
Conatum Infinitum - Drive for the Infinite : Maximum Effort.
Maximum effort is what drives life. But rest is very necessary as well. One can not be hard charging 100% of the time. Sleep is inevitable. Death is inescapable. Relax and enjoy your time when you can. Enjoying the drive is fine too, but know that your human vessel will burn if you drive too hard.
Potes Facere Meliores - You Can Do Better : One Can Always Improve in Some Way.
It's very obvious where the mirror of this comes to play. Sometimes, you can't. Sometimes, the universe doesn't line up, you can't bear the load you're meant to, and you need to "give up." Dirty words, right? Well, sometimes, one does not have a choice but to stop with the current approach, tactic, technique, et al., and attempt something different. Try a little different tactic, or an entirely different subject. The point is one must recognize when one has come to the end of something and move on.
Non Dixit, Noli Docere - If Not Asked, Do Not Teach : Never Interject One's Beliefs Where They Were Not Invited; Keep Thine Religion to Thineself.
The mirror of this would be the times when someone is so blatantly wrong that it causes cringe, and this wrong is causing pain of some sort to someone/thing. Sometimes one needs to butt in a little.
Contradictio Est Necesse - Contradiction is Necessary/Conflict is Inevitable : Even in Oneself, One Will Find Contradiction and Conflict.
Yet peace is our overall goal as a specie. Humans yearn for tranquility and security. The overall conclusion is, and one must meditate sincerely on this: Peace being the goal, and conflict being our nature, humans are consistently, and may forever be, fucked up.
