I have not only been denied Knighthood twice by the Temple of the Jedi Order but now I have been excommunicated completely from their order. I used to think things could get better. I no longer believe that. I’m not the only one, I’m just the one that has stayed the longest. Too long it seems. TotJO continues to promote their own echo chamber by ignoring bad behavior of knights and instead banning me because my ideas are different and I openly challenge their authority. A Jedi should not know fear, and yet they fear me, my honesty. So much for honest syncreticism.
The Temple of the Jedi Order is run, and mostly made up of politically liberal, millennial age, white light, social justice warriors that are bent on the subjection of free thought in favor of their self-legislated moral paradigms. The council and many of the Knights Corps are inescapably under qualified for any of the positions they have cliquishly elevated themselves and each other to and are therefore intrinsically incapable of leadership or decision making in any capacity. As a result they mismanage the site with bureaucratic red tape that is mired in static dogma and politically correct regulation.
Their skewed philosophy espouses their membership follow stifling and narrowly defined specific ethical codes under the guise of improving social convention. However the execution of that philosophy is woefully lacking. None there take responsibility for their actions or commitments. When promises are made by those in authority they are rarely ever followed through with. They also have a rigid and pedantic approach to training that is often times juvenile and fantastical in nature with no real goals or structure in mind except to lead its adherents by the nose to arrive at the councils preformed conclusions
Most action undertaken by council is hypocritical in nature. This is evidenced by many of their number being allowed to take whatever liberties they see fit while fanatically squashing contrary positions from others not under the spell of their indoctrination. Instead of allowing open and honest discourse, dissenters are summarily stripped of their opinions on the boards through deletions and censoring and their freedoms are threatened or just arbitrarily taken from them by banning. The Temples senior leaders are the worst offenders in this regard. Espousing the ideals of the Jedi in public but covertly attacking others behind their backs in secret boards or openly on the internet with malicious web sites condemning the efforts of other Jedi.
It is for these reasons that the temple and the majority of its leadership has never gained my respect. I have always found them to be far beneath my spiritual experience and capacity. At one time I thought a few of the new council leaders could evoke positive change. I believe now their efforts are futile because the senior leaders are incapable of growth beyond their own inbred self-complimentary rhetoric. I believe this now especially since deciding to explore the path of the Je’daii. In that journey I have refreshingly discovered individuals far advanced beyond what those that dogmatically follow the TotJO code are seemingly capable of comprehending.
Adherents I have come to admire in this path are natural leaders, decisive in their actions and precise in their wording. They embrace open or challenging discourse, promote the breaking of taboo and are not afraid of the abandonment of set morality. They are mature enough to follow through on promises and advanced enough in their spirituality to actually provide refreshing and meaningful challenges to those willing to engage with them as we pursue our individual paths. These individuals have a worldview grounded in a realistic approach to the inherent cruel nature of the universe. This is a stark yet refreshing contrast to the bizarre capriciousness of the average Jedi. For these reasons I will take any that demonstrate these qualities any day over the pitiable example of a typical TotJO Jedi and I openly invite any that feel so inclined to this sanctum.
